We’re already a few days into March, and Comet TV is breaking out some badass titles for your viewing pleasure.
So, let’s take a brief look at the March lineup and my breakdown of stuff I have seen.
Cherry 2000: A 1988 dystopian film set in 2017 (yes, for real) about a guy trying to replace his sex robot. He’s got her memory chip and hires, still supple Melanie Griffith, to track down the new model. The acting is not so great, but the story is unique and eerily looking more and more likely these days. What stands out in my memory is the head bad guy, who gives Negan a run for his money. Negan kills you for a reason, but this psycho kills you because he’s bored. Highly watchable cult-classic.
Troll 2: Oh my Gaaaawwwwwd! Where do I start on this masterpiece? It was named as the best worst movie ever by several reputable critics (ptooey). And it is a sequel to the much better Troll, yet they never say the word “troll” in the whole movie! If you haven’t watched Troll 2, you are missing out on something truly terrible. I mean, there really are no words to describe how dreadful it is, yet how mandatory it is that you watch it. Don’t take my word for it though, here’s what the lead actor has to say about it. Troll 2 is that movie that gives even the most inept hope that if you really want to make a film, you can.
Wow, that does it for the films I have seen on the March lineup list. I must be slacking or something. Well, now it’s time for you to get busy watching these films and let me hear from you and make sure you subscribe to FilmGrouch.com so you don’t miss anything we post.
There is a new giveaway coming this month from Comet TV too, you don’t want to miss that!
