Swift take: When I first heard about Room, I thought it revolved around a woman with agoraphobia, which is the fear of open spaces. Uhm, no, not even close. This film is a true horror movie, because it actually happened! I can handle just about any horror film out there, but once I learn that someone actually had to endure this kind of torture, and the damage to the psyche of a helpless child, well, it ceases being “just a movie” at that point. This one is bound to disturb you.
We will be reviewing it tonight, but you have a chance to get some passes to a screening in Davie, FL at Cinemark Paradise 24 at 7:30, Wednesday, Oct 28th.
