My favorite saint!
If God has ever spoken to you, Gage is waiting.
I have known Maurice Chevalier for years, we were roommates while at Flagler College in Saint Augustine, Florida – GO SAINTS! And during the time we lived together, he was not the person he is now. That’s not to detract from who he was. Maurice has always been a nice guy, just not particularly faith driven at that time. He wanted to graduate and get a good job and have a wonderful life. Then, something changed, something happened to him that forever touched his soul. Much like Saint Augustine, God entered his life in a dramatic moment.

I have spoken to Maurice about his faith, without him proselytizing. He was sincere and not at all deranged. Maurice straightforwardly explained to me how God came to him. Gage is that story, the one he shared with me a few years ago that helped strengthen my faith as well.
Now, Maurice is ready to share Gage with the world!
Gage will be a film that dives headfirst into truth and identity on the walk with God. Seeing God in your everyday life and how the journey may be a giant mystery to a lot of people. Sometimes they’ve seen Him in the highs; sometimes they’ve seen Him in super lows. But, the truth is that He is always there. Gage is an auto biopic that examines the ways that God is trying to get across to us all.
Unlike these big Hollywood names, Maurice is a real indie film maker. He isn’t just some A-lister slumming it under a giant Viacom banner pretending to be a guerrilla filmmaker. Maurice is bold. He has traveled the world and done things that his looks had nothing to do with. He could easily be happy living in his charmed chassis, selfishly focusing on himself. I am not so sure if I looked like him, I wouldn’t do exactly that! Just being honest, Mo. But, no, he is a serious philanthropist.
Maurice has helped people from Haiti to the Philippines, countless times. We are, obviously, friends on Facebook, and I see him constantly traveling the world and helping less fortunate people. He doesn’t force them to accept Christ or anything preachy like that, either. He just goes there, does whatever needs doing and comes back to the states and films commercials or parts in films. He does enjoy life, it would seem.
Thank Heaven for Maurice . . . if you know his namesake, that line was pretty funny! But, Maurice can’t spread his message about God through Gage without support from people like you and me.
I only ask that if you are curious about God, faith, religion, spirituality, theology, anything that is larger than yourself, consider becoming a part of Gage. If I were a rich man, I would give as much as I could to see Gage happen. I constantly review films that have giant budgets, and many faith-based projects are just crapped on by folks in my business. It’s a shame, because there are some wonderfully powerful, positive messages that never get shared.
