Oh, say did you see, Chuck Bartowski with his little yellow buddies in Miami?
This weekend the little yellow monsters invaded the final NASCAR showdown in Miami, where Jeff Gordon ended his career with a less than thrilling sixth-place finish.
They must have got lost on their way to Orlando! Lucky for them they had the help of an all-star pit crew, with celebs like Today Show’s Hoda Kotb, Kyle Busch, and Zachary (Chuck) Levi who was on hand to sing the National Anthem. Sadly, they weren’t handing out bananas, but our very own Jasmine was there to take in the race and enjoy some Minion fun.
Jasmine reported, “There was Minion signage everywhere, which was awesome. While I missed the meet and greet, I did see them drive around all squished inside of a golf cart. It was pretty funny. Even my dad was laughing as they drove past. It was cool seeing them help give the command to start engines. And I heard many kids yelling “Minions” whenever they saw them. It was a nice surprise to see them at the race.”
As you probably guessed, Bob, Kevin, and Stuart were there to green light tomorrow’s digital release of their origin film. This is the movie that finally answers the question we’ve all been wondering . . . where do these Minion things come from, anyway?
If you didn’t get a chance to catch it in theaters, here’s my take on it: Minions.
The Blu-ray and Digitial HD will be out December 8th, and is packed with extras, including three original Minion shorts: “Cro Minion;” “Competition;” and “Binky Nelson Unpacified.” Plus, a special Behind the Goggles: The Illumination Story of the Minions where you’ll get a “behind the googles” look at the history and evolution of everyone’s favorite yellow henchmen.
If you were at the race and managed to snap a few shots with the guys, please share with our readers, and post with hashtag #MiamiMinions
