Coming this summer, a retelling of a horror classic – Poltergeist!
Swift take: I can remember watching this movie as a kid of no more than eight years old; it was one of the first movies I watched on the Home Box Office, or as you kids call it now, HBO. It was terrifying! If you haven’t seen the original . . . do it. There is a reason it stands the test of time and delivers scares even to this day and there are so many homages to the film. There is also, supposedly, a curse which you may research online. There have been many “early deaths” surrounding the cast and crew of the franchise.
Now there is a new version, and I certainly hope the curse won’t continue. The premise for the film is simple, a family moves into a newly developed home only to be increasingly tormented by souls that are ill at rest. The 1982 film had people clamoring for information on who may have died in their homes. Lucky for us, we can now easily access this information. And, thanks to Twentieth Century Fox and a fun little site called DiedInHouse.com you can now search your house.
Diedinhouse.com is the first of its kind, a web-based service that helps you find out if anyone has died at any valid US address. Died in House™ instantly searches millions of records to determine if a death has occurred at that location!
My house “is clear.” Can you say the same?
All you need to do is check out the trailer then register on their site and enter the special promo code to find out!
