I wasn’t sure what to think walking in to screen Jason Bateman’s directorial debut, Bad Words, but after I watched it, I was left nonplussed! I loved Horrible Bosses and even the sequel, Horrible Bosses 2. So, when I stumbled onto this trailer for Game Night at home, I was already laughing and looking forward to seeing it in theaters.
I can definitely relate to these characters.
Many of my friends will tell you, I am incredibly competitive when it comes to games, and I will use any angle, short of gouging out your eyes, to beat you. I will get in your head even playing Old Maid; I will destroy you – and I have yet to have any pie in my face (Thank you very much).
We have so many board games at home that we haven’t even cracked them all open yet. I still have no idea how to play Exploding Kittens!
Game Night looks like a cross between the highly successful thriller The Game starring Michael Douglas and Sean Penn and Clue. With Bateman and Rachel McAdams (who at first glance appear to have the right comedy chemistry) yucking it up versus Kyle Chandler who always plays the straight man, perfectly, I predict a win for the “Guys” from Horrible Bosses.
So, anyway, enough about this flick, who is up to play some Exploding Kittens? I’ll bring the Pounce!
