A friend of mine’s grandmother just turned 102 years old this month. I pondered what amazing stories she might be able to tell us all. The same week, I got an invitation to screen this documentary about an energetic 90 year old woman, Janey, who, as the title suggests “makes a play.”

No, Janey has been a prolific playwright for years. Even more interesting, is how this film won’t just focus on Janey exclusively. It’s really about America, and the dreams we share, the capacity to heal and listen.
