My father used to always tell me very candidly, “Be careful what you wish for, my son, because you will always get it.” So, when I got this odd thing in the mail the other day and it directed me to make a wish, I had to think about it for days before coming up with my wish. Supposedly I get seven wishes, but that’s a lot of pressure – I think one is plenty!
Now, the universe was kind enough to help me along with my wish. I simply wished that my air-conditioning would be fixed. I was hopeful that there could be no horrible twist involved with fixing our A/C, while we all sat here stuck to the furniture like grody remora. As I write this, we now have lovely clean air pumping into the house, so far, the universe has been kind.
Typically when we hear wish tales, they grant you three wishes, so I am not sure why the Wish Upon box is letting me choose seven. As I opened up the box, I saw a grotesque face staring back at me, and now I hope I have the creature of the box incredibly vexed about how to put a twist on my incredibly simple wish. I imagine we may wake up tomorrow morning covered in sheets of ice, or something.
But, from what I see in the trailer, it looks like the people in this film are screwed. I mean, a teenager found the box, and we all know how sensible they can be, right? Anyway, you can check out the film in theaters this Friday, and check out the trailer below:
I managed to snag a #WishUpon box, and I’m no dummy, there can’t be a horrible twist for this wish! Right? pic.twitter.com/4nLv4pBkHO
