What in the name of what the hell is this movie even about?
So, we are terra-forming Mars or something, and Brad Pitt’s dad, Tommy Lee Jones, was some kind of space pioneer. And Donald Sutherland is their grandfather, who also is floating around in space? And global warming is on the horizon…? #EyeRoll
Is this some kind of trippy sequel to The Right Stuff or is this another Interstellar or even Contact? Actually, I don’t care. I am getting a little wary of these space adventures that have a twist on our origins or connecting us with our lost parents.
I’ve seen these movies one time too many, to be honest. It’s nothing we haven’t already seen before.
In fact, the director of photography based much of his design on actual Kodak images from the Apollo 11 to Apollo 17 lunar launches. Actually, that’s novel and interesting. If I watch this movie, it will be mostly for the aesthetic, mostly.
But, after you watch the trailer, tell me what you think.

SYNOPSIS
Astronaut Roy McBride (Brad Pitt) travels to the outer edges of the solar system to find his missing father and unravel a mystery that threatens the survival of our planet. His journey will uncover secrets that challenge the nature of human existence and our place in the cosmos.
After the disappointing Tommorowland from Disney in 2015, I am setting my expectations low.
