Swift shot: Quick-paced, amusing take on watching the tables turn on a couple of hit men.
Jax (Schmidt) is a haggard, seasoned hit man who finds himself facing down the sins of his past while burying his latest job.
Showing up late to the dig gig is Cobra (Briggs) who pretty much thinks of himself as the greatest hit man to ever spray bullets.
But something goes bump in the night, as they discover a large trunk filled with gold coins. But, everything comes with a price, especially your past.
As things unfold, they quickly learn the gold is cursed.
Heart of Gold could easily fit into an episode of Tales From the Crypt, with the one-liners and bickering banter providing some chuckles along the way.
The fight sequences are solid, and the movie is so short. I wanted more of it and these characters . . . especially Cobra and this mysterious boss.
It would have been making the film circuit run, but thanks to this stupid pandemic, you can watch the whole movie on YouTube right now.
I mean, it’s eight minutes of your life. Why not? There could be a hit man waiting to add you to his sins.
